Stepping up the traction in the outsole the Zinal 2 still uses a Vibram Lightbase construction, but the combination of a Megagrip compound of rubber, and taller, 5mm lugs gives you all the traction you could need when the trail gets tricky. By taking 2mm off the stack height in the midsole, Hoka have given a more direct, agile, and precise feel underfoot, letting you fly across uneven terrain with total confidence in your footing.
